Fright Before Your Eyes | The Escape Effect, Orlando, FL

This was a last minute addon to our vacation. Two factors played into choosing this place: location and website description. I was pretty intrigued with a 90 minute room and ghost hunting escape room. The room was backstage of a theater with a sandbag fly system.  It was very dark but we were provided with flashlights. Once lit, the room was full of theater and magician stage props. Lots of stuff to look through.  The newest item we encountered was Spectre Detector which was required for spectral hot-spots which helped advance through the game. There were 5 in our party which was almost too much due to the size of the space. Few times on or more of us had downtime.

THE DETAILS

Synopsis from The Escape Room Effect: Delve into the mind of Victor Strange, a magician with a dark secret. In Fright Before Your Eyes, act as ghost hunters and equip yourselves with specialized tools that will answer the question – what really happened to Victor’s assistants 100 years ago?

Fans of Ghostbusters and Luigi’s Mansion have particularly loved their experiences with this fresh take on thrilling and scary escape rooms. In an escape room longer than 1 hour, there’s plenty of time to explore the theatre.
